About the conference
Black Holes III will gather experts in black-hole physics, numerical relativity, black-hole perturbation theory, gravitational-wave astronomy, high-energy theory, quantum gravity, astrophysics, and data analysis to discuss the status of the field and the prospects ahead.
The meeting follows the spirit of the first in-person edition in 2024 (after the 2020 online edition ) and will take place at Aula Magna, Sapienza University of Rome, bringing together researchers working on classical and quantum gravity, on the exterior and interior structure of black holes, their dynamics, their observational signatures, and their possible extensions beyond General Relativity.
Scientific scope
Topics will include classical and quantum aspects of black holes, strong-field tests of gravity, black-hole spectroscopy and ringdown, numerical simulations, compact-object environments, black holes beyond General Relativity, black-hole thermodynamics, and connections with high-energy theory and cosmology.
